Overview Stats Abilities Relationships

Kim Sehan (Kim Se-han, 김 세한) Is the main protagonist of Return to Player. He was the last man standing after the Game finally ended. Just as he was about to give up, he got a notification from the system that told him he has gained access to a DLC store that let him purchase a "Second Package" that could give him a second chance. Constellations

Appearance[]

Sehan is a tall man with black hair and Black eyes. He has a sharp face and usually has a very casual look on his face

Personality[]

Sehan is a very calculating person. Is also very intelligent and knowledgeable. He’s also reliable and trustworthy. Thanks to the knowledge of events from the first playthrough, Sehan rarely loses his composure and uses that knowledge to his advantage. In the first playthrough, Sehan, by his own admission, was selfish and opportunistic. He did not operate on any moral code, he only cared about staying alive and did not bother helping anyone except when it benefited him. In his second playthrough, Sehan looked back on his first playthrough with disgust at his selfishness and worked to change the fate to save everyone. He also sought to avoid making enemies with other players, though he was wary of people he knew to have been malevolent in his first playthrough; still, unless they committed an atrocity or threatened harm to him or his guild members, Sehan would rather try to manipulate and use the adversary's skills for Decide's benefit instead of killing them. The knowledge of events to come does make him come across as cocky and arrogant to his opponents, though this is usually justified as Sehan has thoroughly planned how to achieve his goals.

Sehan, in part due to his knowledge of the "game" and of future events, has become an effective leader. He knew his guild members very well and put them in the best position to succeed and grow.He does, however, tend to save the most important task for himself, assuming that task didn't require a specific skillset he didn't have. He does not have any qualms about sending minors into dangerous situations, but he would not do so unless he knew they could succeed.

Sehan holds most of the gods in contempt, particularly the outer gods, as they were the ones who plunged earth into chaos and caused billions of deaths. Yidhra is the only goddess with whom Sehan has a positive relationship, having been her Avatar during the first playthrough and knowing Yidhra is a benevolent goddess.

Relationships[]

Jisoo Han[]

Sehan and Jisoo were close friends in college prior to the world being turned into a game. During the first playthrough, however, their friendship wasn't enough for Sehan to overcome his fear at the start of the game, which led to him abandoning Jisoo for dead, though in reality, Jisoo survived with the power of the Celestial Slayer, and stealthily watched over Sehan until her death in the first playthrough.

In the second playthrough, Sehan is braver and initially helped protect Jisoo, and she became his first party member. Jisoo remained close to Sehan. However, the Celestial Slayer trait eats away at a person's sanity. Jisoo outwardly appeared to be resisting its negative effects, though Sehan did notice she had developed a tendency to violently slay any evil doer without restraint. Still, Sehan was only mildly concerned about her mental state, unaware that Jisoo began harboring obessive thoughts of him, with the madness thinking Sehan's a restraining force that could be overcome. Sehan eventually was forced to confront Jisoo about her degraded sanity after her estranged brother killed their mom in front of her. Through exploring the past and learning more about Jisoo, Sehan realized that the only way to save Jisoo was to help her accept her true self instead of hiding behind the mask, sharing his memories of the first playthrough with her and reminding her of the promise he made that Jisoo could be her true self around him.

While Jisoo's sanity and self-control was restored, her personality and behavior still revolved around trying to get Sehan's attention and affection. She obeyed Sehan's orders without question. She is eager to accompany Sehan on all his missions and is hurt when she gets left out. She is also shows signs of jealous possessivness, reacting hostily to any adult women who so much as tries to have a casual conversation with Sehan. This extends to Yidhra, a fellow Decide member. Sehan, for his part, is aware of Jisoo's jealousy, but mostly ignores it.

Yidhra[]

Yidhra, the Witch of Dreams, and Sehan had a Goddess-Avatar relationship in his first playthrough. The roles were reversed in Sehan's second playthrough. In both timelines, Yidhra became very attached to Sehan, though Sehan was unaware of how attached the Yidhra of the first playthrough was. Yidhra is eager to work with Sehan and is very concerned about his safety, the first timeline's Yidhra even trained for aeons to defeat an outer god for him. The Yidhra of the second playthrough is very affectionate and doting towards Sehan. While at first, the relationship was professional, Yidhra found she had a fondness for displays of physical affection, such as headpats. Yidhra is the only god or goddess Sehan is openly friendly towards.
